To divest or not to divest

Hello All,

I am asked to solve a case where the decision to be made to divest or not to divest a specific product from a business that is becoming more and more unprofitable over the years. I am asked to look more from the lense of strategy, marketing, operations as opposed to financial numbers. I was looking for some comparable cases to get the structure in place before I deep dive. I did not see anything divest related in the case library here. Any suggestions would be of great help. Thanks in advance!

Have a look at the OnlineStar case by Roland Berger in the case library. It includes divestiture of unprofitable products and business segment.

Hope it helps!
