Hello! I'm looking into the Product Development & Procurement Fellow position at McK within the U.S. (Chicago & Atlanta). How is this role different & similar to the BA role? Is the fellow position still consulting focused?

How is the interview process for the PDP Fellow (case + PEI?)?

I couldn't find much information outside of the McK website, do you have any knowledge on this that you can provide?

Hi there,

Based on the role description, yes it appears to be so! However, instead of being a Generalist, you will already be part of the Prod Dev and Procurement service line.

Note, this is a LDP (leadership development program) so you will be rotating within the company.

"In this leadership program, you will spend 18 months rotating across key areas of our Product Development and Procurement service line."

Hi there,

The Fellow role at McKinsey is a specialed consulting position. In your case, you will have to work on Product Development and Procurement projects primarily, so you will build an expertise on those topics for the beginning. Interviews are similar as the one for generalist positions, they both include the PEI, the fit and the Q&A parts.

I would advise you nonetheless to reach out to the office HR to ask more specific questions about this role, sometimes offices have a specific need and they create hybrid positions to address that need, so make sure you know everything about the role before applying for it.

I hope this helps.

All the best,

Mehdi
