Hi, I have requested HR to provide feedback after being informed I will not make it to the next round, but the HR simply doesn't reply me (either mail / phone).

Do you think I could write the interviewers thank you letters and politely ask for feedback? Would it be annoying to do so?

Hi there,

If you have the email address of the interviewer (which I assume quite likely the interviewer passed it to you during interview?), I see no reason why you cannot reach out to ask for feedback.

Just make sure you ask nicely in the email, be sure to thank his/her time, and position it as you are really keen to learn from it and improve. The worst scenario could happen is no reply, which is no loss at all.

Cheers,

Emily

Hi Anonymous,

It's a pity that most firms don't really share a lot of feedback after interviews, but in any case it's good to chase them for future further improvement.

Instead of emailing, I would rather try to catch them on the phone - an email or letter is just so easy to ignore and gets easily lost in the daily hassles versus being on the phone and asking directly. Chances that you really receive a lot of useful feedback is oftenly low, but as indicated before definitely worth the effort in my opinion!

Hope that helps - if so, please give it a thumbs up with the green upvote button below!

Hi there,

I don’t see any issue in writing them – worst case, they won’t reply back. On the other hand, they may provide useful feedback for you to improve on the next interviews.

Best,
Francesco

Hi, it is fine. However, I recommend before it, to make a call to HR without worrying about bothering them: they are there to help

Hello,

You could do that but it's likely that you won't receive an answer. I would rather try to contact again HR staff, maybe calling them. It's your right to have a feedback on your performance and that's their work.

Best,
Luca

Hello!

I would totally follow up the consultants, what do you have to loose? It demonstrates interest and, on top, feedback can be super valuable!

Emails are very easy to ignore, and what very little people do is just person themselves in the office -HR sits in the office always-. If you are in the city, why not? There, for sure you won´t be ignored. You will be surprised by what you achieve being "intense" ;)

Cheers,

Clara
