Hi there,
It completely depends (on company, region, what your recruiting process is, etc.). Generally, they will either assign a specific date or give you a date range.
Depending on how you're recruiting you can push back the dates if you're not ready (of course, this doesn't apply to cycle recruiting such as MBA recruiting for example).

- They may propose different dates to choose from
- You could be able to reschedule if the proposed date doesn’t work

Hey there,
Depends on the office and firm. Usually, you are provided with more than 1 date to select. However, you should always be able to reschedule in advance!
I get this question often in coachings if rescheduling has a negative impact on your application: No, it has not! :-)

They will set a date. But you can postpone if you think you need more time to prepare, and it will not impact you negatively.
