Recently, BCG introduced a new role of a "salaried" Partner role inbetween Principal and MD&Partner role. So after 2-3 years principal, you become a salaried partner and then after 2-3 years you become a Managing Director & Partner with equity in the firm.
Anyone familiar with how different is the benefit package of the new salaried partner compared to principal?

It really depends on the office.
In general, principals have a fixed part highly variable between offices ($120k to $250k) and a bonus depending on their own performances (with a good performance you reach the 30% of the fixed salary).
Salaried partners maintain these 2 components of the salary but also an adding part of the bonus, related to the office performance. It depends on the home office, but it can be worth even more than $100k.
Best,
Antonello
