Nice to meet you! I'm Matt, an Australian who started my career as an Associate Consultant at Bain in San Francisco back in 2015. I spent nearly 4 years in management consulting across multiple US offices and received an early promotion to the post-MBA Consultant position (after only 6 months as a Senior Associate Consultant).
Most of my post-consulting career has been in corporate strategy. After Bain, I joined Microsoft's Corporate Strategy and M&A team at the global headquarters near Seattle. I'm currently a Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives at Expedia - where I've held multiple roles including supporting the Chief of Staff to the CEO.
In between Microsoft and Expedia, I spent 2 years full-time as the founder of a self-funded e-commerce startup - which I continue to scale. So beyond anyone wanting to discuss management consulting or corporate strategy, I'm always happy to talk about the entrepreneurial journey too!
Across my 12 year career-to-date, I've both given and received hundreds of consulting case interviews and have reviewed countless resumes. I also was one of Bain's undergraduate recruiting leads and am intimately familiar with the process and what makes candidates stand out.
