Former McKinsey consultant - 6+ years of consulting experience, where I  coached 200+ candidates

Across those sessions the thing I keep coming back to is that every candidate is different. Same case, same feedback, completely different effect depending on who's in front of me and how far along they are. So I don't run a standard session - I start by working out where you actually are, and my main value is helping you see yourself the way an interviewer will.

If you're early in your prep - running a full uninterrupted case too early mostly wastes your time. In interviewer-led cases I'll take it one question at a time - we do a question, stop, review it together, and I give you feedback on the spot before moving on, so you're correcting in real time instead of repeating the same mistake for 40 minutes. At the end you get an overall read plus a clear roadmap: what to drill, and which types of cases to do more of to close the gaps I saw.

If you've already put in the reps - we start with where you think your gaps are, then drill there rather than covering what you've already mastered. And I'll mimic the real interview as closely as I can - including interrupting you mid-answer if that's what an interviewer would do. How you handle that pressure gets assessed too, so you may as well feel it here first.

Either way, the feedback is direct and tied to specific moments in your case, not general advice. My goal is to get your actual thinking across clearly under interview conditions.

I don't run a standard session. I start by working out where you actually are in your prep, then adapt – heavier hand-holding and stop-start feedback if you're early, full interview simulation with real pressure if you've already put in the reps. Having coached and interviewed candidates at McKinsey myself, I can tell you where you sit against the actual bar, not a generic one.
