About me:
I am a mechanical engineer with a PhD in strategic management and extensive experience as a Private Equity Operations consultant and manager in PE-style portfolio companies.
During my time in PE-operations consulting, I led projects across the full spectrum of growth and restructuring mandates, especially turnarounds of companies in special situations and buy-and-build strategies executed via M&A transactions. Following my consulting role, I took on a position as Head of HR at one of the PE portfolio companies. More recently, I have also worked as an independent consultant and interim manager on selected projects. These projects took me across multiple countries, including Germany, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, and Brazil.
I hold an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen and Korea University, as well as a PhD in Strategic Management from FGV EBAPE and the University of St. Gallen, with a research focus on corporate divestitures and carve-outs.
Interview experience:
Throughout my consulting career, I conducted interviews on a near-weekly basis to recruit consultants for PE-operations roles, an experience I further deepened in my subsequent position as Head of HR at one of the PE portfolio companies.
Coaching focus:
My coaching is particularly focused on aspiring consultants who are looking for a career in PE-Operations or in turnaround consulting, cracking cases on restructuring companies in challenging situations.
