I applied to Mckinsey last year for the APD program, I did Solve and ended up getting invited for a first round, i didn't do too well due to lack of prep time. I have spent time prepping over the last year but I am worried about getting an invite this year.
I reapplied for this years APD round, with a referral from current Mckinsey Associate.
1) I do not really care about location so in my application i weighted each of the 3 offices equally, is this a red flag? How does Mckinsey select which office you get invited for an interview out of the 3 (especially with equal weighting)?
2) One of the preferences was the office I selected and interviewed at last year, does this affect my chances?
3) It's about 10 months since i took Solve, will I need to do the test again.
