Project Management Path vs Technical Path?

I'm a recent graduate in Economics and Psychology from the United States, currently working for a prominent consulting tech firm. With my one-year anniversary approaching, I need to declare my specialty to progress to senior consultant. I'm faced with a choice between two paths: 1) the technical route, where I'll delve deeper into technologies like SAP and Oracle, and assist in implementation through various phases, or 2) the Project and Change Management practice, where I'll still be working on transformation projects with SAP & Oracle technology but more so on the management/leadership side, focusing on project management-related work.

My long-term goal is to relocate to the UAE and transition into strategy consulting, not necessarily in the tech industry. Considering my aspirations, which of these two paths would you recommend or is better suited for my goal?
