I am based in London UK, c.12 years of work experience and I currently work in consulting. I have done 5 rounds of interviews with a top tier consulting firm (won't name them here on purpose) for a Principal role (just before Partner) in London and I have finally received a message that they will make an offer tomorrow in a video call. The advice I would like is:
- What base salary range should I expect? It would help me understand if my offer is good
- What bonus range should I expect? It would help me understand if my offer is good
- When does bonus usually get paid in UK for consulting? Does it change much by firm?
- Should I expect a sign in bonus? How much roughly?
- If i'm losing my current bonus for making the move, should I push for a good / higher sign in bonus and how should I do it? How much could / should I ask for? Any recommendations here would be very useful
- It seems like they have fixed salary and bonus bands per level. Is it even worth trying to negotiate higher salaries / bonuses?
- Should I try to negotiate an earlier pathway to Partner? Could this be a risky move as I have higher chances to underperform If I do get it?
- Any other advice?
