[Non-consulting] A MBB Marketing Director said "Looking forward to speaking". Is it business politeness?

I cold-emailed (LinkedIn) a Global Marketing Director at an MBB, offering them my CV on a job they posted. The person mentioned that they are happy to take a look at my CV. After that, I was advised to apply directly on the website while they would flag the recruitment team. I followed up within a few minutes (and so did they!), and post-submission mentioned: "Awesome! Looking forward to speaking". In this job market, I have been told better, and I haven't received any follow-ups, so my question is: am I reading too much into this? Or can I expect a call/interview? What's the referral process at top consulting? In tech roles, a referral is usually through an email link.

I have an MBA froma. top European School, and the role is non-consulting marketing.
