McKinsey Visa sponsorship

Am just asking in advance, because i applied tto mckinsey dubai, and i was invited for the assessment.

If eventually, i get a job offer from MCK Dubai, would do company sponsor my visa and relocation?

I heard in dubai you would need a work permit from your employer.

Please i need your advice on this.

Yes, McKinsey Dubai sponsors visas. This is standard for MBB offices in the UAE.

If you get an offer, they'll handle the work permit and visa process for you. In the UAE, your employer sponsors your residency visa, so you can't work there without company sponsorship. McKinsey knows this and takes care of it as part of onboarding.

On relocation, most MBB offices provide some support. This could include flights, temporary housing, or a relocation allowance. The exact package varies, so ask the recruiter once you have an offer in hand.

For now, don't worry about the visa. Focus on passing the assessment and interviews. If you get the offer, they'll guide you through the rest.

Good luck.

Hi there,

Yes — if you receive an offer from McKinsey Dubai, the firm will sponsor your visa and handle relocation. In the UAE, you must have a work permit and residency visa sponsored by your employer, and McKinsey routinely does this for international hires.

Typically, McKinsey takes care of:

  • Work permit and residency visa sponsorship
  • Immigration paperwork and coordination
  • Relocation support (often including flights and initial settling-in assistance)

This is standard practice in Dubai and not something you need to arrange yourself. Details are usually confirmed at offer stage.

For now, focus on doing well in the assessment — visa sponsorship should not be a concern.

Best,
Evelina

Yes.

They do sponsor it.

And the Dubai office has a lot of experience with it.

If you have a special situation (e.g., a nationality that is typically problematic for getting visas), reach out to the recruiter to confirm.

But don't worry too much about it. If they want you, they'll make it happen somehow. I haven't yet seen situations where the candidate was great and they wanted to hire them, but visa logistics made it impossible.

Best,
Cristian

That's a very standard and necessary question, especially when applying to the Middle East offices.

Here's the reality: If McKinsey Dubai extends you an offer as an international candidate, the firm will handle 100% of the logistics required for you to work there. You are correct that the employer must facilitate the work permit and residency visa—and that is standard procedure for every major firm operating in the GCC. The Dubai office is heavily reliant on international talent, so the administrative machinery is extremely well-oiled.

This is not something you have to negotiate or worry about. Sponsorship is fully included. Furthermore, their relocation package is comprehensive: it typically covers flights, substantial shipping allowances, and initial temporary housing support while you secure an apartment. The goal is to make the transition seamless so you can focus immediately on client work.

The logistical issues are off the table. Your only priority right now is dominating the assessment and the subsequent interview rounds. Do not let visa concerns distract you from the work required to earn the offer.

Focus on the case. All the best!
