McKinsey London - R2

Hey guys,

Has anyone heard any news on their R2 at the London office? I did my interviews last week but I heard there were some interviews happening yesterday at the office!

I am worried because Friday is the final round and haven't heard anything. Is this a bad sign?

Thanks!

I wouldn’t worry too much; these processes often take a bit of time and delays are quite common. The best thing to do for now is just wait.

Good luck!

It's completely normal to feel anxious when you're in that holding pattern, especially with such a tight turnaround and knowing other interviews are still happening.

Here's the reality for a large office like McKinsey London: they often run interviews over several days, sometimes even stretching across a week or two for a single "round." Decisions aren't always made candidate by candidate immediately after their interview. Instead, they often batch candidates and then review everyone who interviewed within that period together. The fact that there were interviews yesterday means they're likely still collecting the full pool of candidates before making final decisions and extending invitations for the final round. Your interview from last week is still very much in play.

So, while it's tough to wait, not hearing back yet isn't necessarily a bad sign. It often just means they haven't completed the full candidate assessment for this wave. Try to keep focused on what you can control, and hold tight for their official update.

Hope it helps to give some perspective!

I wouldn't worry about it.

Even if others have had interviews before you, that doesn't have to mean anything in and of itself.

Typically, it takes an average of 2-3 weeks between rounds, so it's perfectly normal if you haven't had your next round by now.

Try to use this time to work on any self-feedback or firm feedback from the first round. If you need any help, reach out.

Best,

Cristian
