Unless you are doing something crazy/controversial outside of work (I hope not!), be authentic :). Have fun with this and show them your personal side. Don't try to give an answer to conform to expectations. It is what it is , so be bold.

Hey there,

Simple.

  1. Be authentic!
  2. Don't overthink this

Hi there,

I agree with the others to be genuine/honest! That said, I would also be “smart” with your answer.

I'd argue it depends what you're a micro influencer of. If it's beauty products or workout supplements that leads to a different impression to something like travel.

Hello,

I agree with everyone else that there's no need to overthink this. The question is an opportunity to get to know you a bit more fully, so you should feel free to share your other passions. That being said, I would also recommend being ‘smart’ about your answer. Think about what your hobby reflects or says about you. For instance, you could spin the micro influencer Instagram page as an interest in X sector (e.g. brands, retail, CPG, travel), a desire to create interesting new content, or as a more basic quest for likes.

This is an opportunity to share something that makes you unique or an interesting person (of course, be professional and smart about this - gaming, gambling as well as any addictions are not your best options here).

Share something that you really like and is true about yourself, as the topic itself can be less important than the passion you show about it.

Be honest. This sort of question is just meant to get you know you better and for the interviewer to forge a connection with you. Feel free to ask them the same question back to learn more about them. You might even be interested in the same things.
