Looking for insights on Singular Group GmbH

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming interview with Singular Group GmbH in Germany and was wondering if anyone has experience with the firm and knows whether it has a good reputation there.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Singular Group!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your questions:

  • First of all, considering that you have likely researched the consulting firm, what specifically would you like to know about them?
  • Moreover, I would strongly advise you not to fall for the prestige fallacy. Apart from applicants, prestige hardly matters; what truly matters is what you make out of your strategy consulting experience.

You can find more on this topic here: Boutique consulting firms.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

Singular is a boutique strategy consulting firm from Switzerland. Some of the partners are coming from Tier-1 consulting firms. I would expect the interviews to be very similar to any other consulting firm, but you should be able to articulate what attracts you in a smaller boutique, as opposed to bigger firms.

Happy to help you prepare for the interview, feel free to message me!

Hey there :)

I actually know some colleagues who worked for Singular Group. It’s a smaller boutique consultancy in Germany, quite specialized and less known compared to the bigger brands, but it does have a decent reputation in its niches. You can expect a more hands-on project environment, closer client contact, and probably faster responsibilities than at larger firms. At the same time, brand recognition won’t be as strong as MBB or Tier-2 firms, so long-term exit opportunities can be a bit narrower.

For the interview, it’s worth showing strong motivation for a boutique setting and highlighting why their focus areas excite you.

best, Alessa :)
