How to Prepare for Deloitte Supply Chain and Tech Transformation Interviews?

Hi everyone!

I have first round interviews coming up for Deloitte Supply Chain & Network Operations (Consultant) and Technology Enablement & Transformation (Analyst) roles next week. I really am interested in Deloitte and the first role aligns well with my background in industrial engineering/supply chain internship.

Each round seems to include a 30-minute behavioral and 30-minute case, with potential final rounds involving longer 1-hour cases.

I’ve seen that Deloitte’s Tech Enablement cases often follow the SDLC (Agile vs. Waterfall, user stories, deployment methods, etc.), but I’m less clear on how Supply Chain Network Operations cases are typically structured. Are they Plan-Source-Make-Deliver process cases, optimization?

I also am unsure if I only take 1-2 minutes at the beginning to structure a framework or do that after each major question. The online Deloitte cases seem to ask a few big questions that seem unreasonable to answer on the spot. They seem like they might have a different cadence than typical market sizing, m&a, profitability, but I am unsure what that cadence would be.

If anyone has done these interviews or has insight, I'd love advice on:
- core frameworks/what material to cover and know before each

- what types of cases I can expect

- how prepared I am if I did a MBB interview recently and prepped 20+ cases for those, but also didn't pass R1 lol

- casing cadence specific to Deloitte

Thanks in advance! This will really help me out.

Hi there!

It sounds like you've already done your due diligence. Let me only comment on the components where I can contribute.

  • Re how Supply Chain Network Operations cases are typically structured - there's no specific framework. But if you want to get a sense of how others approached them or what materials they've used to practice, have a chat with a few people that joined recently (<1y of tenure) and get a sense from them on how they approached the prep process.
  • Re taking time. I would recommend you take 1 minute for each of the main questions. Always ask though if that's fine. If the interviewer asks you to do it on the spot then you can follow their guidance.
  • Re how prepared you are. Hard to say. If you failed MBB R1 it means you're probably not distinctive but it can also mean you just had a bad day. MBB has a tougher standard anyway, so it doesn't mean that now you wouldn't pass the interview with other firms.

If I can help in any other way, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

Best,
Cristian

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. How would you recommend practicing and focusing prep before the interview next week

Hi there,

You’re already well-prepared if you’ve done 20+ MBB cases — Deloitte’s interviews are less about complex math and more about structured problem-solving + practical business thinking. Here’s how to focus your prep:

1. Supply Chain & Network Ops cases

  • Usually follow Plan–Source–Make–Deliver–Return structure
  • Common topics: cost reduction, throughput optimization, network design, supplier risk, logistics digitization, inventory management, or ESG in supply chains
  • Be ready to discuss KPIs like on-time delivery, utilization, lead time, fill rate, and cost per unit

2. Tech Enablement & Transformation cases

  • Often center around SDLC/Agile, ERP/CRM implementations, or digital transformation roadmaps
  • Expect questions like: how would you design an implementation plan, manage stakeholders, or choose between Agile vs. Waterfall
  • Know basics: project phases, user stories, data migration, testing, and change management

3. Case cadence (how Deloitte differs)

  • More conversational — interviewers may give you 3–4 large questions across the 30-min slot instead of a single flowing case
  • Take 1–2 minutes max to structure before each question (not just at the start)
  • Frameworks can be simpler: think process flows or impact levers, not rigid profitability trees

4. Prep checklist

  • Review supply chain fundamentals (Plan–Source–Make–Deliver)
  • Brush up on Agile vs. Waterfall, ERP, and change management basics
  • Practice structuring “project implementation” or “process improvement” problems
  • Rehearse clear, structured communication — they prize client-facing clarity more than analytical depth

If you spend your last few days grounding your frameworks in supply chain and digital transformation realities, you’ll be ready.

Happy to help you prep – feel free to reach out!

Best,

Hey there, for Deloitte SC & Network Operations cases, think of them around the Plan-Source-Make-Deliver processes: often optimization, cost reduction, or process improvement. Tech Enablement cases follow SDLC logic, as you mentioned. Usually, you can spend 1–2 minutes upfront to structure your framework, then refine it as you go for each major question. Your MBB prep gives you a big advantage, just adjust for Deloitte’s cases, which often focus more on operational logic, practical trade-offs, and recommendation clarity than heavy math or profitability. Focus on understanding core supply chain concepts, basic analytics, and technology enablement terms. The cadence is slightly slower than MBB, giving room to talk through your thought process rather than solving everything immediately. best, Alessa :)

Hi Alessa, really appreciate your thoughtful response! Do you know of any good practice cases I can try this weekend before my interviews?
