Hi everyone,
I've been practicing cases for a while now, but I still sometimes struggle to quickly pick out the most important information, especially when dealing with longer texts or exhibits. I know that processing information quickly is an important skill in consulting, but I'm wondering how much reading speed actually matters during case interviews and in everyday consulting work.
Also, do interviewers pay attention to how quickly you read and understand information? And is speed reading something worth practicing separately, or does it naturally improve as you work through more cases?
I would love to hear your experiences and any tips that have helped you!

I interviewed with McKinsey last year but did not receive an offer. I'm now reapplying and wanted to ask whether it's generally acceptable to reuse PEI stories that I shared during my previous interviews, assuming they're still my strongest examples. Thank you for the help!
