It depends a bit on which company is using TestGorilla, because the assessment is usually a combination of different modules selected by the employer.

For a Program Manager role, I would typically expect some mix of:

  • numerical reasoning
  • critical thinking
  • data interpretation
  • problem solving
  • situational judgment
  • communication or business reasoning questions

My advice would be to focus less on memorizing answers and more on practicing the underlying skills.

In particular:

  • get comfortable interpreting charts and tables quickly
  • refresh percentages, ratios, growth rates, and basic business math
  • practice identifying the key conclusion from a set of data
  • read questions carefully before jumping to an answer

A common mistake is spending too much time on a difficult question and then rushing through the rest of the assessment.

If you know which company is administering the test and which modules are included, people may be able to give more targeted advice. Right now, "TestGorilla for a Program Manager role" is a bit too broad since the assessment can vary significantly from one employer to another.

hey there!

TestGorilla usually tests 3 things for program‑manager roles: basic logic, structured thinking, and work‑style fit. Expect a mix of cognitive reasoning (patterns, short math, verbal logic), situational judgement (how you’d handle stakeholders, deadlines, conflicts), and sometimes a personality test. The best prep is doing a few timed reasoning drills to get your speed up, reviewing simple PM scenarios (prioritization, risk, communication), and staying calm, they’re not testing deep technical skills, just whether you think clearly and consistently.

Hi there,

The test can differ between firms, offices and roles.

My recommendation is that you reach out to the recruiter and ask for more information about the format / structure of the test and even check whether they have any examples they could share.

Best,
Cristian

TestGorilla usually mixes a few things: a cognitive ability section (numerical, verbal, sometimes abstract reasoning), a situational judgement test, a personality or culture-fit piece, and often a role-specific bit on project management basics. The cognitive parts are timed and tight, so that's where most people lose points.

Don't overthink. Do two or three practice numerical and logical reasoning sets so the time pressure feels normal, not new. For the situational judgement and personality sections, answer like the PM you actually want to be, not what you think they want to hear.

Inconsistent answers across those sections are a red flag to them. Get a quiet room, stable internet, and don't pause mid-test. Calm and steady beats cramming on this one.

You've got this.
