Bain AC final round on Wednesday 10th June towards EoD. When can I expect to hear back? Does it change depending on if it’s an offer/rejection?

This is for a European office

Hi there,

For a European office, the most common timeline is 1 to 7 business days, though some offices move even faster.

In my experience:

  • If the interview team is fully aligned, offers can come within 24–48 hours.
  • If there are calibration discussions, multiple candidates being compared, or a partner debrief pending, it can take several days.

I would not read too much into the timing. While very fast responses are often positive, I've seen candidates receive offers after a week and rejections after a day, and vice versa.

If you haven't heard anything after 5 business days, it's perfectly reasonable to send a polite follow-up to recruiting. If I were in your shoes, I would try to enjoy the weekend!

Best of luck
