Has anyone tried ai case consulting practice tools yet?

I have been practicing with the 2021 MBB Peter K book and CasePrepared, but I'm wondering what the quality of most of the AI tools are out there for interviewing practice.

I know nothing beats a real person and etc but I can't have access to a knowledgeable case partner all the time so AI has been helpful. I tried mbb ai but I didn't like it / didn't function well so I'm wondering what alternatives are out there and if they're useful.

Hi there,

AI has been making good progress in terms of giving feedback. And I would recommend you use it as an extra layer to your individual practice.

The issue with it is that it's confident even when it's wrong, which does happen rather often. So you might start picking up things which are not helpful for you and taking you in the wrong direction.

And on top of this, as you said, the human, expert element cannot yet be substituted by AI. Perhaps in the future.

Best,
Cristian

Tools x Solid casing foundations = Increased productivity

Tools x average case foundation = Counter productive efforts

Similar to what you see with GenAI adoption in the workplace, such tools benefit the experts a lot more than they do beginners. They are likely more helpful to coaches than they would for candidates, because coaches know exactly what to look for and when the outputs/simulations are impractical. So the tools could be a supplement, but never the core of your preparation. Coaches and peers are your best two resources.

Okay that's fair. So CasePrepared is helpful when you already have a solid base. Kind of like coding LLMs when you already know how to code?

I agree with the comments above.

AI tools are not yet reliable enough to form the core of your case practice.

They are, however, a helpful supplement to your practice with coaches and peers.
