Has anyone ever worked for Whiteshield? ..need advice

I have passed to the video assessment interview round and I don't know what questions they will ask me. It is a one way video, 5 questions, 20 mins. I have reached out to ask what type of questions to better prepare but no response.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

hey there :)

these one way video interviews are usually very standardized, so expect a mix of classic fit questions like “tell me about yourself”, “why consulting/why Whiteshield”, maybe one behavioral on teamwork or leadership, and sometimes a light analytical or opinion question on an economic or policy topic, nothing too technical but they will look for structured thinking and clear communication; the key is to keep answers concise, well structured and energetic since there’s no interaction, I also have a friend there and the process is quite straightforward, so if you prepare your core stories and practice speaking to camera you’ll be in a very good spot

best,
Alessa :)

Hi there,

I actually haven't heard of this one, but, given what they've said, you should be ready for:

1) Fit — why consulting, etc. Tell me about yourself

2) Quant/analytics skills similar to Bain SOVA, PST, HireVue, etc. — leverage resources across all of these to practice

I see Alessa already gave a great answer below. Another thing I'd recommend - reach out to the recruiter and ask for more info on the format of the interview.

This is by far one of the most underutilised tips. The recruiters are there to help you. They won't tell you what's in the interview itself, of course, but they'll share what they can share. And often that's going to help you have a better understanding of where to go and how to prepare in a more targeted manner.

Best,
Cristian

I haven't interviewed for Whiteshield specifically, but one-way video rounds follow a similar pattern across firms.

5 questions in 20 minutes is about 3-4 minutes each. Enough for a clear, structured answer. Not enough to ramble.

Whiteshield does a lot of government and public sector work, so expect questions on why you want that kind of work, how you handle ambiguity, and examples of leadership or working with difficult stakeholders. The usual fit themes.

Biggest mistake people make: they treat the camera like a form. Speak like there's a real person on the other side. Energy matters as much as content.

Practice out loud 3-4 times before you hit record. Most platforms give you a prep window. Use it fully.

Good luck.
