EY Application

I’ve applied for a few positions at EY, and my application status says that I’ve been invited to complete an assessment. However, I haven’t received any email or further instructions about it. Is this normal? or should I contact EY’s recruitment team?

Hi!

Yes, this can happen. The important thing is to separate the portal status update from the actual assessment invitation, as they are not always triggered at exactly the same time.

I would do the following:

  • Check spam/junk and search your inbox for EY or the assessment provider.
  • Open the application portal itself and see whether there is already an assessment link, task or deadline attached to the application.
  • If there is a deadline visible but no link/email, I would contact recruitment immediately rather than waiting.
  • If there is no deadline, give it around 1–2 working days. If nothing arrives, contact the recruiting team and include the role/job ID, the email address used for the application and ideally a screenshot of the status.
  • I would not withdraw and reapply, as that can create unnecessary duplication in the system.

One additional point: if you applied to several EY roles, make sure you know which application the assessment is linked to, as different processes can move at different speeds.

In the meantime, I would prepare as if the assessment is coming, so you do not lose preparation time once the invitation arrives.

Best,
Carlos

Hey there :)

This can happen, so I wouldn’t worry just yet. Sometimes there’s a delay between the status update and the assessment invitation email. I’d check your spam and junk folders first and, if nothing has arrived after a day or two, reach out to the EY recruitment team to make sure the invitation hasn’t been missed.

Best, Alessa :)

A status that says you are invited, with no email yet, is common. The portal often updates before the message arrives, and the mail can sit in spam.

Open the application again and look for a link. Check spam, and the inbox for the address you used to apply. If two working days pass with nothing, send one note to EY recruitment asking them to resend the assessment instructions. Do that before any deadline shown in the portal. Until you hear back, prepare as if the test is still on.

Hi there,

I would wait a few days (yesterday isn't long enough). If you haven't received it by mid next week then you can absolutely reach out to check.

Also, did you check your spam folder?

Hi! Yes, this can happen. I’d first give it a little time, but if you still haven’t received the invitation, I’d contact EY’s recruitment team to confirm that it was sent and ask them to resend it if needed.

Hi there,

Perhaps the status has only recently changed and you haven't yet received an update?

Give it a few more days before you contact the recruiter.

And good luck with the assessment!
Best,
Cristian
