Do BCG offices send round 2 invites all at once?

It's probably not a consolidated effort. At least during my time, each office/system would oversee their own timelines, as long as it was within the broader internal deadlines. 

It's stressful to wait - this is the hardest part. But you would only know if you are out of the race once you have a rejection.

Invites going out in waves is normal, especially for larger offices like New York which handle a significant number of candidates, and usually has nothing to do with candidate quality. It tracks how quickly each interviewer submits feedback and when the recruiting team can batch the reviews.

People interviewed earlier in the week simply get processed first, so a Friday invite for Wednesday/Thursday morning candidates is exactly what you would expect. Interviewing late Thursday afternoon puts you at the back of that queue, so hearing a bit later than others is normal and says nothing about your result.

So I would hold off on any conclusions until the confirmation window they mentioned has fully closed, and if you genuinely hear nothing after that, a short polite note to your recruiter is completely fine.

Interview invites (not just in BCG) are not necessarily sent all at once. Timing can depend on the interviewer feedback, scheduling, and internal review. So you are not necessarily out of the race. I would wait until the confirmation deadline has passed before drawing conclusions.

• Lastly, I would strongly advise you to not read too much into other people's timelines and to wait calmly until you hear back; a short and polite status message to the BCG New York recruiter is also fine, and since every office runs its process a bit differently, they are the only ones who can tell you for certain where you stand.

BCG never sends all final‑round invites at once. It is always staggered. Different interviewers finish evaluations at different times, recruiting batches candidates, and some decisions get cleared earlier in the day than others. People who interviewed Wednesday or Thursday morning often hear first simply because their interviewers submitted feedback earlier.

A late‑afternoon Thursday interview can easily lead to a Friday or even weekend decision. Not hearing on Friday does not mean you are out. As long as the office has not sent a rejection, you are still in the running.

They process feedback in batches based on when your specific interviewers submit their notes. Candidates who interviewed on Wednesday or Thursday morning simply had their evaluations uploaded faster. Recruiters routinely send out invites in waves over two to three business days.

You are not out of the race just because you interviewed later in the afternoon. Keep your schedule open, stay patient, and monitor your inbox.
