• First of all, I would highly advise you to reach out to the recruiter immediately to get clarity on the specific formats. While I'm happy to share my perspective, the recruiter will be the only person to actually know the contents of the interviews.
• Moreover, for the technical round, I would advise you to brush up on your data analytics skills since you're applying for that practice. Make sure you're comfortable with common industry tools and methodologies.
• Lastly, it's important to understand that at a senior level, the "technical" aspect may also include more sharing your thought process and how you approach problem-solving, so be prepared to discuss your past projects and how you navigated technical challenges.

For both of these questions you should get as much info as you can from HR. 

If you've already done this, technical interviews basically aim to assess the technical knowledge that's expected from your role. 

Look at what are the expectations from the role in the job description and then try to think of what technical terms you should know and what sort of skills you should exhibit. 

Depending on the role that you're going for (some are more ‘technical' than others e.g., requiring coding), you might be expected to exhibit these skills and experiences through stories or problem sets.

Generally, the technical round is just that - technical!

So, this may be a live discussion around technical topics (deep-diving, getting your thoughts, brainstorming, etc.) AND/OR it might be an actual hard skills assessment.

For example, when interviewing with Quantium (data analytics consulting shop) I had an hour at the interview site to work through SQL code and create a mini database + code SQL queries to create charts/graphs.

Make sure you're ready for both scenarios, and, importantly, it doesn't hurt to double check with HR on what to expect!
