CV building

Hi guys,

Multiple posts already, and all the answers have been very helpful. Thank you all.

Im currently preparing for a career in MBB and have 4-6 months of pure prep. from working on cases to building the resume.

I wanted your guys opinion on my cv vaguely and if its worthy enough to enter MBB in the ME.

Current CV:

-Finished medical school at a non target school, average grade of 86/100 with my clinical years of 93/100

-10 research papers/cases w some currently in the process of publication

-Conference attendance and presenting at them

-Compete for my national team, ranked top 300 in the world, sponsored by the leading brand in the sport, w multiple wins and good finishes. Also captained the team for a year.

-Currently launching a startup in MVP phase, but gaining good traction slowly

-Founder of a brand new initiative in the UAE in partnership w a big entity

-Completed my internship of one year at a top hospital in the GCC, with high valuations

-High musical proficiency with certification

-Fluent in Arabic, English, and one more language

Currently adding:

-Learning Python + SQL + Data analytics and doing projects related to healthcare to show practical use, not just theoretical knowledge

-Have done some financial modeling, valuation courses on Coursera

-Doing a full consulting style project on a family business to demonstrate initiative

-Continue scaling startup

Any critiques? anything else I should focus on adding?

I think I covered leadership through my sport activty, and founding the initiative. Covered execution through sport performance and startup performance. covered quant and technical abilities through python.

Any tips to max my cv would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi There,

You absolutely have really impressive experience. I would really focus on how you are framing this in your CV. Make sure you are being results oriented and have your bullets follow the STAR format. Make sure you are quantifying as much as possible. At the end of the day, the way you present your background to someone who may know almost nothing about you is 70% of the battle.

If you really show the impact that you can make in your CV, I think you have a great shot at moving on in the process.

Hope this helps!

Hi there,

You already have a strong and differentiated profile — the mix of medical, sports, research, and startup experience will stand out in the ME region. The key now is less about adding more activities and more about framing what you already have in the right way.

MBB CVs need to be impact-driven, with clear results and business relevance. Right now your CV reads as “a lot of great things,” but to really land interviews you’ll want to:

  • Quantify achievements (e.g., users gained, revenue, rankings, citations).
  • Prioritise and streamline — highlight the 3–4 most powerful areas rather than everything equally.
  • Rephrase bullets in consulting style (action → result → impact).

You don’t need to do more; you need to package it in the right way. A focused CV session would help you refine phrasing and structure so that it matches MBB expectations.

Happy to help you refine and finalise it – feel free to reach out.

Best,

Evelina
