i have a question about BCG SEA recruiting - experience hire - chatted with HR about online assessment and been told I will receive it Thursday, however, it is Friday and nothing has happened. Wonder if this means rejection or delay. I have been preping for this casey and now not even getting invite after getting a referral and multiple chat with HR on networking... what is going on....

Be patient and don't overthink. Very unlikely they would reject you without giving you the test since they said they would give you. Most likely it is just delay on the recruiting team side.
Just use the extra to prepare.

I used to be in BCG SEA.
This is most of the time just a delay, not a rejection. The process can lapse unfortunately (not just in SEA or for BCG).
For now, you can either wait or follow up politely with the recruiter.
Furthermore, it may also happen once you are in the interview process - if so, here's an article you read to explain what to do then as well:

Delays happen. It's quite common actually.
I know it's frustrating but try and put your energy into other applications instead (while you wait). At least this way all of this is channeled into something useful.

Don’t panic, a delayed invite usually isn’t an automatic rejection. BCG’s recruiting process can shift due to internal scheduling, system delays, or HR workload. Sometimes invites get sent late, especially if multiple candidates are being processed.
