I have my round 1 scheduled with BCG as an experienced hire and both the interviewers are Partners. I thought typically the first round was with Consultants and Project Leaders? Does this accelerate the process in any way?

I would not recommend to read too much into this.
Few points to note - at BCG - a Partner is different from Managing Director and Partner (MDP). Mostly it is the MDPs who come in the second round. “Just” Partners are 1 level below MDPs.
Further, I have known candidates who have had 4/4 interviews with MDPs, and also candidates who have had 1 out of 4 interviews with an MDP. So nothing unusual going on.

I agree with Agrim - this doesn't really mean much, it is probably due to how the schedules of the partners and other interviewers happened to pan out for that week. If you are an experienced hire, perhaps they wanted more experienced leaders in the practice to interview you to better gage your familiarity with the industry, but still this wouldn't accelerate your process in any way.

Genuinely nothing to read into here. This is who was available to interview.
There are some cases where candidate interview are accelerated, but this only happens when you are explicitly told so.
Proceed as if they were a Consultant/Project Lead - no need to be concerned about this change!
