BCG London Online Test

Hi community,

I have been invited to the BCG online test by HireQuotient. Is this is different to the Casey test that I know has been used in the past? Notably, the email it mentions quant only and 20 questions in 40 minutes which makes me think it is different.

Also, out of curiousity has anyone done it before? If so how much harder is it compared to the practise questions they give?

Many thanks for the help in advance!

Hi there!

The BCG HireQuotient test is being implemented across different locations and may eventually replace previous ones, like The BCG Online Case & Chatbot Interview. However, a coachee mentioned that it was pretty similar to the former. I recommend you to study as if it was the old version (considering the lack of material available for this newly released test), meaning: understand the main sessions of a case and also doing GMAT/GRE exercises.

Good luck!

As far as I understand that is the BCG Casey. Hirequotient provides the software and test administration. If you search for information about Casey would should find everything you need.

Hi there,

The Casey is usually shorter and has fewer questions.

I'd rather prepare for a mix of business-case questions (like for the Casey) and GMAT-type reasoning (verbal, numerical, logical).

20 questions in 40 minutes are a lot so make sure to have a good pace and don't waste it all on one question when you are getting stuck!

Cheers,

Florian

Hey there ?,

Yes, the HireQuotient test you were invited to is different from the old BCG Casey or Chatbot-style assessments. This version is quant-focused, with 20 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, and it's designed to test numerical reasoning, data interpretation, and business math under time pressure.

? What to Expect:

No open-ended or chatbot-style questions like in Casey
– You'll work with charts, graphs, and tables—very GMAT/PST-style
– Questions are often tight on time, so mental math speed and accuracy matter a lot
– The practice questions they give are a fair starting point, but the real test tends to be slightly harder and faster-paced

✅ Quick Tips to Prepare:

– Practice mental math and percentage/ratio calculations
– Focus on interpreting data-heavy tables and charts quickly
– Use keyboard shortcuts and stay calm under time pressure

If you want to simulate or discuss test strategies, I’d be happy to support you ?

Best,
Alessa ?
