BCG Advance - Put where in Resume?

Hi! I'm wondering if for insight series like BCG Advance, BCG Launch, should I put it in my activities section in my resume under my activities for university, or down below at certifications? Thank you!

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation to the BCG Advance conference!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • Since only undergraduate students are eligible, you may include it in the university section as a bullet point in your current study program, or somewhere in the last section. However, do not include it as a certification unless BCG actually provides one after the conference.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare your application files, for your upcoming pre-interview assessments and/or interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

I would at best put it as a one liner under activities / a single bullet point under the education portion

This experience while useful is not 'meaty' or significant enough to be on the same level of significance as an internship.

All the best!

As other coaches have suggested, I think this should be a small part of your CV - perhaps a one-liner in your uni activities section

Hey there :)

You should list BCG Advance or similar insight programs in the Activities section under university—it fits better there since it’s selective and shows engagement with the firm, kind of like a mini-extracurricular or honor. Just keep it short and clean, like: Selected participant, BCG Advance, 2025.

Let me know if you want help polishing the resume!

best,
Alessa :)

Hi there,

I would put it somewhere lower - like certifications or extra curriculars since it wasn't a formal educational or professional experience.

Best,
Cristian
