Bain vs McKinsey ME

You haven't given us nearly enough information about you.

What do YOU value most? If you want prestige + maximum “success” in your career, McKinsey is the move. However, if you value culture/people and got along better with Bain people, then Bain is the move.

^This is an oversimplification, but you should get the point! First, define the key things that you value. THEN, do your research to figure out how well each performs across those items.

Good luck with an excellent decision to have to make…you can't go wrong either way :)

While you will hear many different responses on the inner workings of both firms, I highly encourage you to listen to what your gut says you will enjoy. Even if McKinsey Riyadh looks amazing on paper for example, that is no guarantee you will enjoy it or that it is the right place to you. 

The best way to decide is to talk to as many people as possible from both firms in the locations you have the offer from and use that as a guidepost for what to do.

First of all, congratulations on two amazing offers!

I thought Udayan and Ian's advice was spot on. They are both really good options, so do some due diligence and think about where you better see yourself.

- Talk to consultants in each office. What kinds of projects do they work on? How do they describe the office culture? What are the working hours like? Could you see yourself getting along with them?

- Think about your personal preferences. Where would you personally prefer to live? What else are you solving for? 

Ultimately there is no wrong choice, and they are both incredible places to work at.
