Hi all,
I applied to Bain Munich (general consultant) about 5 weeks ago. My profile: MEng + PhD, 2 years of engineering experience.
Timeline:
- 1 week after applying: received TestGorilla invite → performance was mediocre (not brilliant, not terrible).
- 1 week later: HR requested uploading transcripts (I hadn’t provided them initially) → uploaded same day.
- 1 week after that: HR requested bachelor transcript. I explained that my integrated MEng covers the bachelor, and HR replied the same day with a typical friendly/professional note: “Thanks for the clarification. After reviewing all documents, we will get back to you as soon as possible.”
It’s now 14 business days since that reply, and I haven’t received any rejection. My transcripts are strong (top 3 global uni PhD + First class grade in UK undergrad), but I don’t have a referral.
Questions:
- Could a mediocre TestGorilla result discredit me, or would HR requesting transcripts suggest it was “good enough”?
- Does verifying transcripts usually take a long time?
- Has the “likely to invite” window passed, or is there still hope for an interview invite?
I sent a follow-up email to HR today midday but haven’t received a reply yet.
Any insights on typical Bain Munich timing or experiences with similar situations would be greatly appreciated!
