Anyone know the typical timeline for hearing back after the Bain Gorilla test? Took it Oct 19 for a post-MBA experienced hire role (NA office) and still waiting.

Hi everyone,

I completed the Bain Gorilla test on October 19th for the post-MBA DHIRE role in a North America office, but I haven’t heard back yet. Does anyone know what the typical timeline is for hearing back after the test? Trying to understand whether this is normal or if I should follow up.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there Tvin,

Firstly, congrats on finishing this step of the recruiting process!

Having not heard back for 4 weeks now is definitely not abnormal, although it is also not very typical. Typically, you would hear back in 2-4 weeks.

However, that is just an average, and this timeline is often not met by the larger firms, simply because they typically structure their recruiting process into specific blocks, and thus have A LOT of candidates at certain times of the year.

Here is my advice:

1. Don't worry - the fact that you haven't heard back is not a bad sign. It's not a sign of anything, except the recruiters being a bit overloaded

2. Since it has already been about 4 weeks, there is nothing wrong with reaching out! Just remember to be polite and professional in your reach-out, and ideally highlight how excited your are about potentially joining Bain.

So, find a recruiter and reach out if it gives you peace of mind! :)

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Thor
