Be a little patient here and wait 1-2 more weeks before asking for an update. In the meantime, keep working on your application strategy and preparing for fit and case interviews.

Strategy& is on a hiring freeze in Dubai. MBB + T2, have been totally silent. I've received assessments from Bain, LEK, and OC&C, but they are for London. Middle East seems to have slowed down for this recruitment cycle.

2-4 weeks is typical for a response, especially if the process is abit slow. Middle East has been hiring alot more than other geographies especially this year, but not all firms have the same requirements (e.g. maybe you applied to a firm that has no more slots). I do know that recruitment is still on going for some T2 firms for experienced hires.

It depends. Many are not bringing in external/experienced hires but are still bringing in MBA.
Main reason being: there's work/pipelines, but they're bringing existing consultants from Europe to work on them to adjust for Europe's slow down.
All that said: Hiring is still happening. Depends on which firm and which role. Network extensively and make sure your resume is as good as possible!
2-4 weeks is very normal, keep an eye out and chase HR if you still don't hear after another week

Don't read too much into response times. They don't reflect on you as a candidate, but rather on what the recruiters are currently busy with.
Anything up to 3-4 weeks is still acceptable. Anything beyond that is worth asking for an update from the recruiter.
In the meantime, keep on applying. This way you get to both increase and diversify your chances.

It is actually not unusual to have to wait a few weeks after a consulting application. If they don’t reach out after 1-2 more weeks, you can contact HR for an update.
