Hi there,

what are the typical working hours you have and is the WLB comparable to external consulting firms or slightly better? I've often heard that inhouse consulting is a bit more relaxed, but would be interested in your personal experience.

Thanks for your question. Based on my experience, I can confirm that working hours in in-house consulting are generally lower compared to external consulting. This was also a key factor in my decision to choose in-house consulting. Nevertheless, it remains a consulting role where working hours are highly project-dependent and can vary significantly between projects. Another important aspect positively influencing work-life balance is the close proximity of most of our clients, who are primarily located in the NRW region. This eliminates the often lengthy travel times common in external consulting, which also has a positive effect on the balance between work and private life
