How much travel can I typically expect?

Hi,

I would be interested in how much travel time the job usually involves. Is it comparable to external consultancies or are most projects based in Essen? Also, how many days are you allowed to work remotely?

Thank you!

Travel activity varies significantly and mainly depends on the specific project and the client’s location. Many of our clients are based in the NRW region, which means travel times are generally short and on-site appointments can be easily combined with regular office work. Compared to external consulting roles, our travel requirements are generally lower due to the proximity of our clients. Some projects require only occasional visits on-site, while others - such as those with clients at more distant locations like Kiel or Hamburg - necessitate more frequent and longer stays. In cases with less on-site client contact, we place great emphasis on strengthening team cohesion through regular office meetings, typically two to three times per week. We always strive to maintain a good balance and make targeted use of home office options after periods of intensive travel. Additionally, we are attentive to personal needs and, as long as the project allows, flexible arrangements for remote work can be made to accommodate such situations.
