Hi Nike, I appreciate the question and particularly in our new generation I think this is a very important one. In Deloitte it is very common that male colleagues take time off (or work part time) to significantly take part in raising their children. We in Deloitte believe that a work-life-fit is the way to go. A career should fit AROUND your personal life and not the other way around. Therefore, we do encourage and facilitate parental leaves and other working models strongly.

Hi,

thanks for this question. At DHL Consulting almost all of our male consultants take at least 2 months parental leave. We also had already male colleagues who took longer time for parental leave as e.g. 7 months. So I can say, if you want to take parental leave it doesn't matter whether you do this as male or female consultant. Same holds true if you want to work part-time to better manage your work-life-balance with (or even without) a family.

Best regards, Elena

At ECON, a very large share of male consultants take parental leave. Often, also for >4 months.
