Hey !

When answering “Where do you see yourself in five years?” it’s important to strike a balance between ambition and realism. I would focus on expressing a desire to grow professionally, take on increasing responsibility, and develop skills that contribute meaningfully to the team and the company. For example, aiming to become a trusted expert in your field or to lead projects that have a real impact shows both commitment and vision.

In a Personal Fit interview, I would also emphasize my willingness to learn and adapt as opportunities evolve, rather than laying out a rigid plan. This demonstrates flexibility and openness to new challenges. Sharing how you hope to build strong relationships and continuously improve aligns well with what interviewers are looking for—someone motivated, forward-thinking, and eager to contribute long-term.

In five years, you should aim to have grown both professionally and personally, ideally in a role where you can take on more responsibility and contribute meaningfully to your team and the organization. You’ll likely have developed a deeper expertise in your field, applying your skills to solve complex challenges and make strategic decisions. Additionally, you’ll want to be in a position where you can mentor others, share your knowledge, and continue learning. You’ll also likely be expanding your network, staying engaged with the industry, and open to new opportunities that help you grow in unexpected ways.
