I would like to know how the screening of resumes are carried in consulting firms as many times it happens that a candidate is having the right skills but still their applications get rejected

This is a really interesting question. In short: it is all about motivation.
At the beginning, we are getting to know you through your application, so please constantly have in mind ‘can we guess who you really are?’ when you are applying. Also, make sure that application package reflects your motivation to join us.
