📈 Did you know that the number of closed #autocracies has increased from 22 in 2012 to 33 in 2023? This regime type includes countries like Afghanistan, Chad, Eritrea, Iran, Mali, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. 📍 Currently, electoral and closed autocracies combined house 71% of the world's population, up from 48% a decade ago. This suggests that authoritarian regimes are becoming more resilient and adaptive.
