Private credit is looking to catch the next wave of growth — in asset-based lending. In part, that is to sustain the sector’s extraordinary growth and to satisfy the sea change in allocations to credit. But firms are also jumping in because leveraged lending has become more crowded. How large is the addressable market? Our new estimates suggest specialty finance is a $5.5 trillion asset opportunity in the United States alone, where private credit today has less than a 5% share.   The need to secure access to these new asset classes is prompting private credit players to change tack, looking to partner up with banks rather than be their adversaries. In our new report, we explore what private credit 2.0 might look like — for banks and investors. Read the report here > https://owy.mn/3QlGDSd #PrivateCredit #SpecialtyFinance

[Vote, then expand for answer] The modern Silk Road, from the Middle East to Asia, is home to eight out of the world's 20 top economies today. Its share of global GDP has risen to 40%, and we estimate it will reach 48% by 2040. The number of Fortune 500 companies based in the region has similarly grown to 221 — almost half of the total. We identify a series of no-regret moves that companies and governments can consider today to capture these opportunities in this region > https://owy.mn/3JvAVt7 #SilkRoad #Commerce #Business

Our Automotive and Industrial Goods team and our core consulting group have been visiting some influential auto shows over the past couple of months. These are their top 5 observations from attending the shows: 1. While the rise of electric vehicles has been steady over the last 10+ years, we are seeing a rise in large truck and SUV EV entrants like the GMC Hummer EV and the Ford F150 Lightning. 2. Increased hardware standardization (charging ports for EVs) is growing across automakers which allows for greater access to established charging networks. 3. Vehicle connectivity features, such as infotainment systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), have increased consumer expectations. Trends include integrating functions into central infotainment systems and providing separate infotainment units for front passengers with privacy screens. 4. Consumer preferences for higher sightline visibility, additional cargo capacity, and ergonomic ease have led to a decline in sedan offerings at car shows. Some manufacturers, like Ford, have completely eliminated their sedan lineup in favor of more SUV options. 5. Automakers are skipping booths at post-pandemic Auto Shows, focusing on digitization and remote car experiences. However, the remaining brands are using the available space to enhance the physical driving experience. Examples include off-road driving experiences and indoor circuits to feel the power of EVs. Given the role operations teams play as key enablers across the enterprise, we are witnessing growing demand and pressure for senior operations executives to take more leadership in overall transformation outcomes. Operations leaders can successfully drive transformation and create value for their company by embracing new imperatives: 1️⃣ Become the connective tissue that supports programs and delivers outcomes across multiple divisions. 2️⃣ Deliver faster returns on investment to establish proof of success and help programs self-fund. 3️⃣ Create business value through modernized data analysis, metrics, and reporting. We are proud to introduce our carbon removal partners as part of our Climate Leadership Portfolio.   We are committed to supporting four organizations that are at the forefront of exploring carbon removal solutions – both engineered and nature-based. These solutions are crucial in tackling climate change.   Through our Climate Leadership Portfolio, we not only provide financial support but also foster meaningful relationships with our partners. We believe in learning from each other and sharing our expertise to help scale these critical climate solutions.   As Lauren Wylie, Global Head of Sustainability & Oliver Wyman For Society, says, "The concept of the Climate Leadership Portfolio is about much more than simply ‘writing a check’. We want to build relationships, to learn from our partners, and to find ways to share our expertise to help them scale these critical climate solutions."   By supporting innovative carbon removal initiatives. Together, we believe can make a positive impact on our planet's future.   Learn more about our climate initiatives here > https://owy.mn/3xD3rpM #Sustainability #EarthDay #OWForSociety
