The Future Insight prize has a winner! Congratulations to Khalid Salaita from Emory University for his pioneering work to create an early warning system for future pandemics. Salaita’s group is developing a novel platform technology using DNA motors for the automatic surveillance and tracing of multiple airborne pathogens in real-time. It´s already been proven to detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for Covid-19. The technology could be used in crowded locations such as airports and trains stations to easily detect a range of airborne viruses without any need for human intervention or sample processing. 👉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eNUTAGbD #PandemicPreparedness #PandemicPrevention #Science #Pandemic

We have launched the #GPT program “myGPT” for our employees. “Our approach is to make new technologies quickly and easily accessible to our employees. With myGPT, we aim to provide secure access to GPT technology, making us one of the first companies in Germany to implement a ChatGPT-style application within the company for internal use,” said our Group Data Officer Walid Mehanna. We expect myGPT to make every-day-work easier for our employees, for example when they create, structure or summarize texts. This initial release only marks the beginning. We are already evaluating options to include our internal data and knowledge into our #AI solutions. #science #technology #artificialintelligence
