We visualized the number of threatened species per country and highlighted some of the key reasons behind their endangerment. Software development rarely starts from scratch, often it relies on existing code, third-party suppliers, and open source software (OSS) components available on GitHub. However, there is an operational blindness and many companies lack proper documentation of OSS code components, leading to compliance issues and security vulnerabilities. OSS management is evolving with the rise of AI. Applications like Copilot use publicly available code for machine learning training, but while the source oftentimes contains information about authors, copyright and licenses, the AI solution does not and it is not clear where the code comes from and what licenses apply. Arcwide are delighted to announce that Denys is now live with IFS Cloud! Denys is a multi-disciplinary, international construction group specialised in water, energy, mobility, infrastructure, restoration, engineering, and special techniques, headquartered in Ghent, Belgium. The journey to implement IFS Cloud started in 2022 with a plan to go-live with phase 1 of the project by January 2024, in the IFS areas of Finance, HCM, Projects, SCM, Manufacturing, Rentals and Service with several integrations. However, due to challenges including the addition of customisations to the solution, it became apparent that the January 2024 go-live would be difficult to achieve without reducing the scope. The compromise we reached was to go live with Finance, Projects, Procurement. The main stay of the operations which constitutes SCM, Rentals, Service within Denys, would go-live in April 2024. It is with great pleasure that we can now say that they have successfully cutover all the relevant data into IFS Cloud with just over 400 users. This represents a major step in the REACH program, steered by Filip De Mulder Digital Transformation Manager, supported by ideeds with an objective to fully digitise the processes across the entire Denys group. This Transformation project has been fully supported by the Arcwide Benelux. Arcwide’s Project Director Olivier Baudry 🌱 and PM Uti Ikomi, lead both project teams to a successful go live date 1st April 2024. A few words from the Project Sponsor’s: Bart De Laere, CFO In 2019, we launched our "IT 2023" programme, later baptised REACH, in a quest to optimise our IT and business processes. How could we digitally improve our work, our projects, and data? How could we work more digitally efficient, with fewer different systems ? Through in-depth interviews, we uncovered pain points, needs, and wants. With these results, we went looking for the best partner in this process, to end up with a new ERP package that would closely match our needs. We found this partner in Arcwide. After a very intense period, in which many colleagues from different departments were closely involved for years, we are happy and proud that we went live on 1 April with our support and operation services. It is thanks to the cooperation between our IT project team, the various process teams and Arcwide that we were able to achieve this. In line with our project slogan, we therefore look forward confidently to the next steps to be taken in the process, moving forward together.
