2. Round of Capgemini

    2. Round of Capgemini capgemini
Most recent answer on Oct 31, 2020

Hi folks, I passed the 1st round of Capgemini (telephone interview) in Germany and will take the 2nd round in 10 days. The staff from Capgemini told me that the 2nd round will last 1 hour and will be similarly structured as the telephone interview. Can anybody give me any details about the 2nd round of Capgemini? Which case format (candidate-led?) will be used there? What typical case types will be asked if I applied for the corporate excellence & transformation? Which professional questions might be posed? Any comments or tips are highly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Hi Anonym, I know Capgemini well If you like, we can have a call? Feel free to write me. Best regards Marco-Alexander

    Second tier consultants

    Accenture BearingPoint capgemini Interview MBB
Most recent answer on Sep 19, 2020

Hi there,

I never get invited by the top tier strategy conusulting firms (like McKinsey, Bain, BCG). Therefore I was thinking first to apply for second tier firms and if this works then try top firms again after 2-3 years.

Due to my IT background I was only invited in the following firms: Accenture, BearingPoint, and Capgemini (not strategy, blue one).

How should I prioritize them and what other options would you suggest

Thank you

All these are well known international IT Consultancies. I personally would go for Accenture first, Bearinpoint second and Cap last, but others may disagree. Going to a Tier2, Tier3 or Boutique for a couple of years ... (read entire answer)

Most recent answer on Nov 05, 2019

Hi there,

I've recently been invited to a second round case-interview at Capgemini Invent in Stockholm. Does anyone here have any experience of the culture at Capgemini Invent or the types of projects typically taken on? Specifically if anyone had any insights on how it differs from Accenture Consulting in the Nordics that would be great!

Best!

Capgemini Digital Customer Experience Case Interview

    capgemini Case Interview digital marketing
Most recent answer on Oct 29, 2019
    Anonymous A asked on May 18, 2018

Hi everyone!

After an initial Skype interview, I've just learnt that Capgemini Consulting wants to see me for a second round in Paris in June. The mail I received only states that this interview will be from 8:50 am to 12:30 pm and treat:

1. A customer situation

2. A case study

I'm not sure about the difference between the two, nor the exact meaning of either.

According to my readings from the Internet, the "customer situation" should be a concrete simulation of an upset customer which will allow the judges to evaluate my dealing with a difficult situation.

I am guessing the case study is probably similar to the regular case interviews, which is the reason why I am training on Preplounge today. However, I am pretty sure that I'll get a marketing or digital-related case, as I've applied to the Digital Customer Experience practice.

Could anyone tell me if you have more information on the process of Capgemini's interview and if my guessings are right? Anything would help a great deal for me to know what to expect on D-day!

Thanks for your help!

Got an offer from Capgemini Invent, BearingPoint & Wavestone, what shall I go for ?

artificial intelligence bearing point BearingPoint capgemini Capgemini Consulting Capgemini Invent consulting offer wavestone
Most recent answer on Oct 29, 2019

Hello there,

I am from Paris and I got an offer from 3 consulting firms. To give you a bit of context, they took me in the Insight-Driven Enterprise of Capgemini Invent, Digital & Strategy practice from BearingPoint and Digital & Emerging Technologies from Wavestone. I will be honest, I am not so much of a fan of Wavestone so I am not really asking advice on this part (unless you are working @Wavestone and unveil that there are marvellous missions there (which I doubt).
So my heart is swinging between BearingPoint & Capgemini. I have both interest for Strategy & Artifical Intelligence. But I am afraid I will not get a chance to work on real strategy missions in BearingPoint as they obviously are rare and probably go to much experimented consultant. Concerning Capgemini I am afraid I don't get to work on disruptive topics related to (strong) AI but just boring automation topic (I am sorry if it comes off as rude but just to translate my mindset here).
So I need insights from people working there (or simply if you have heard of anything interesting!) and elements that might help me make a choice!!! :D Mostly I wanted to know which one of these had best brand name value on a resume if I want to switch to corporate (or even strategy firms, MBB would be dream but yeah lol). Also are internal opportunities (go to some other offices in NY or Japan..) and promotion equal in these consulting companies ? What about salary also (apparently both have really slow progression through the years but I wanted more visibility on this subject...)
Thank you so much in advance for your time and help! It will be much appreciated :))

Hi, I don't have a good personal answer for you (though I have heard of Capgemini, not Bearing Point). However, check out Glassdoor.com to see employee reviews of companies. this will give you a feel for culture, ... (read entire answer)

Capgemini Invent vs KPMG Strategy Group

    capgemini KPMG
Most recent answer on Oct 29, 2019

Hi,

I have recently been offered jobs at two companies: Capgemini Invent (Insights Driven Enterprise Department) and KPMG (Strategy Group). The Capgemini offer focuses on digital strategy and brings technology, data anaytics and technology together under the strategy hat. The company seems to be growing very fast. The KPMG offer is perhaps more reputable and has a "general", less specialised strategy line surrounding growth, turnaround, equity carveouts and M&As. Obviously, these offers differentiate themselves professionally, but I was wondering if anyone could give me information on the reputation, working style, opportunities and strategy abilities of these companies, preferrably from people who have worked in either of these departments. Which job do you think is better for a future career in strategy consultancy?

Thanks a lot for your input.

Harry

    Getting into MBB from Boutiques

Capco capgemini Experienced Hire Future MBB
Recent activity on Dec 05, 2018

I have recently completed my masters. I realised I didn't want to be in science research early on during my Masters so I didn't get a very good grade (from a targeted uni) but I did do very well in my undergraduate (not targeted). Not having known about consulting for long, I didn't have sufficient time to prepare for and apply for MBB or the big 4 this year but pretty sure I will have an offer from Capgemini, Capco and Arcadis.

I am aware that they are not the most prestigious consulting firms but my plan is to gain experience with them and then apply for MBB. I don't have any experience outside science, didn't do any summer internships or a year in consulting industry so I hope this will help.

My question is:

Will it be difficult to get into MBB like this? Is there a better way?

How can I make myself more attractive to MBB for when I do apply?

Which of the 3 companies I mentioned should I go for?

Getting into MBB is always hard (there were 60 applicants for 1 position in my office around the time I joined), so while there's obviously some skills, don't forget also that some of it is a numbers game, and some of i ... (read entire answer)

Internship IT Consulting - best firm?

Anonymous gave the best answer on Apr 11, 2017

Hi all! My study is a combination of business administration (major) and IT (minor). This is why I'm really interested in IT consulting and topics like digitalization, digital transformation, business intelligence, big data etc. Can you tell me names of consultancies where I could apply to for an IT consulting internship to gain my first work experience? (this means a good firm, but also a firm where I have the chance to get an internship without previous work experience. I guess I won't really have a chance with MBB, and was thinking more about Accenture, Capgemini and Detecon...) Can you recommend me other firms? Thank you so much for your help
