Are Tier1/Tier2 firms in the Middle East good to progress in strategy consulting? (or only transformation)

Most recent answer on Mar 21, 2021

Hello,

I am in the last stage of recruiting with various Tier1/Tier2 firms in the Middle East. It would be a big change for me as I work for a tier 3 strategy firm in let's say US or Europe. I am not sure if I get the offcer if I want to take it as I want to continue working on strategy only. Are all Tier1/Tier2 firms focused on big government transformation projects? do they have internal trainings that I could leverage to learn more about strategy? I would appreciate mainly feedback from current consultnts at those firms. Thank you

Partner interview style - to pause or not to pause?

A.T. Kearney AT Kearney ATKearney Case styles Decision Round Final Round Partner Interview
Most recent answer on Oct 31, 2020
Anonymous gave the best answer on Nov 28, 2018

Hi all, I have a final round partner interview coming up at AT Kearney and was wondering about the recommended style.

I understand that in partner interviews, after some small talk, they might ask a question without 'obviously' moving to a case.

So if the partner says "so what do you think is the impact of driver-less cars?" (or something similar), is it expected that I take a minute and write down a structure - or would they expect a 'think out loud' approach?

Do you lose points for taking a minute of silence and breaking up the conversation? Once you've done it once, can you do it again for a later question?

What is the general approach here? Any advice would be much appreciated :)

OK, I might be in a minority here, but I would find it very weird to actually pause, say nothing and then come up with some ultra-structured approach. If I were the interviewer, I would want to see whether the candid ... (read entire answer)

Hi all, I have a final round with ATK coming up, which is a 1 hour partner interview which "incorporates a mix of behavioural fit questions as well as a spoken case study". The previous rounds were regular fit/case interviews and a written presentation case.

There is next to no information about this online - any tips/thoughts? Have you been through it? Help is appreciated!

Dear A, it's very similar to the first round, although partners will pay more attention to cases and your personal fit to the company. Wish you best of luck, André

Hi all,

I have many friends working in MBB. I reached out to few of them and have set up informational interviews next week. Couple of them told me to prepare specific questions.
