Does anyone have any experience on this test? Is this a regular SHL Verbal Reasoning test? Apparently the test will run for about 10 mins, so not sure what they will test actually.

Hello!

I wuold suggest you to practice with GMAT.

GMAT unfortunately only gets better with practicing. Good news is that there are many ways of doing so!

There are free exams in the internet that you can use for practice (the one of LBS MBA page, Verits prep, as well as some free trials for courses such as the one of The Economist (https://gmat.economist.com/)

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara

Hi anon!

No, the Oliver Wyman is not a standard SHL test - it is one of the toughest maths/logic tests in my experience. The biggest difficulty typically is getting through the questions in the time given - although the 10 minutes you're quoting doesn't sound right to me! It should be 20 minutes for 30 multiple choice questions, unless things have changed this year.

Here's a helpful page on PrepLounge about the assessment: https://www.preplounge.com/en/tests/oliver-wyman-test

And a helpful video that covers a few (actual!) Oliver Wyman test questions from previous years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fSYgKESqFA

Finally, the GMAT is anecdotally very similar, so you can practice a few of those to guage how you'd fare.

Best of luck!

Kay

Thanks Kay - sat for this test, actually it was 10 mins. Think its different from country to country - my country seems to put less emphasis on the Critical Reasoning test. Many thanks for your help though!
