Dear community,

Thanks for all the responses on the question - Meeting with senior partner (https://www.preplounge.com/en/consulting-forum/meeting-with-senior-managing-partner-7204). All the suggestions were great and we had a very engaging conversation where I understood more about what the firm is doing and gain a perspective on things. It also seemed that there is interest as the partner indicated that I would be invited for a dinner with other senior partners. I already indicated that I've applied and he wished me well. I am curious about what the community thinks about this and what all this means...

Hi Anonymous,

Assuming you are not an experienced-hire, it means that you profile is generally very interested to the firm and they would like to invite you to stay in contact and have more interaction with you, especially since the conversation was very engaging - so great job, well done!

Don't overthink it yet - it will just be another opportunity to connect and probably secure a referral to jump over the CV screening - nothing more, nothing less! (although it's a lot already!)

Hope that helps - if so, please be so kind and give it a thumbs-up with the green upvote button below!

Dear A,

Inviting for a dinner it's a great sign which may open for many career opportunities, so try to take maximum out of that in terms of networking.

Wish you best of luck,

André

Hello!

I imagine you must be quite senior and tenured, right?

An invitation for dinner is for sure a token of high high interest in you, so I will just wait for the news and take that dinner as avery important recruiting/networking event.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara
