I applied for one of McKinsey’s event - a webinar and did not get an invitation. Should I take this as an indication/ eye opener and re-consider my aspirations. I have been doing my search and trying to build my profile. But is it even worth the attempt if I cannot even get an invitation to a webinar ? Please share your thoughts.

I would recommend you to reach the company and learn the main reason to have the best insight from this situation. Many times those kind of situations are occurring due to operational reasons.
Hello,
Sorry to hear about that! It is not necessarily an indication, and this could be due to a few factors:
- You might not fully satisfy the criteria for the webinar (e.g. not a final year student, not based in a particular country, etc.)
- Your application may be late and the slots are already filled.
- You may have left out some key information from your resume e.g. GPA, year of graduation etc.
Would suggest for you to review your resume and see if you have left out any of these points that I listed above :) Feel free to get in touch with a current consultant or friend to help you assess where the issue lies too. Cheers!
Hi A,
You should not immedeately consider this as an indication. The reasons can be different and it is OK to ask for the feedback to understand the main issue.
