I have an MBA and targeting to enter at or slightly below manager level. I have also got a 700 GMAT score, will MBB firms ask me to take quantiative/chatbot test anyway?

Is quantitative/chatbot test required for MBA experienced hire with high GMAT score?
Overview of answers
Hi Lorenzo,
Are you currently in an MBA or you already have an MBA?
I would be surprised if you skip the chatbot test to be honest. Of course, this does depend on the office, but if the office gives the test, you're getting the test! Furthermore, sorry to burst your bubble but a 700 is good, not great. It's certainly respectable but I wouldn't call it high, and especially not enough to, in-and-of-itself, show people you don't need quantitative testing.
Hi Lorenzo,
In general it is difficult to join at manager or right below it, unless you have already consulting experience.
Regarding whether you have to take tests, it depends on the seniority you would join. Usually for senior positions (from manager above) you don’t have to take tests, while for Analyst/Associate or Associate/Consultant positions you have.
If you are applying for the Italian office, Bain doesn’t have any test.

Hi Lorenzo, MBA hires are often invited directly to interviews in Italian offices.
In case they sent you the test, I have a dedicated session to prepare it, feel free to text me to discuss it.
Best,
Antonello

Isn't the GMAT out of 800?
Hi Ian, thanks for your message, MBA is completed. I know that 700 is not outstanding but it's still top 12% (at least when I took the test)
indeed it's high considering the whole population, but its lower than average when you sample people that got offers from mbbs... i wouldnt play this card to get out of any test - good luck!
