I am doing MBA in Europe and about to start campus recruitment, I wonder 50%-50%, 60%-40% office points split or 60%-30%-10% split a good strategy? How would the offces view this? Can they see how I allocate my point? (In application, they ask for office preference and points you want to allocate to each one)

Dear A,

Yes, this is a good consideration, how you can specify your office preferences. You can also shortly mention your geographical preferences in your cover letter to make it sound even more explicit.

Best,
André

50% - 50% is best and perhaps 60-40 at most with 60 being your preferred option and 40 where you have highest likelihood of securing interview

Think about it from their perspective - if you put 10%, would they think you really cared to join their office at all?

Rather than playing the "odds" here, focus on which offices you as an individual have the best shot at.

It's really easy to think that, just because there's some quantitative # here that you can manipulate it....you can't!

Rather, I suggest a 50-50 or 60-40 split focusing on the two offices where you:

1) Have a history (i.e. have worked, lived, etc.)

2) Have work rights

3) Speak the language

4) Have networked
